Stewardship Notes: Matthew 5:7– “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.” This is one of many Bible passages that remind us that we reap what we sow. Likewise, what God puts into us (His own love, mercy, kindness and generosity) – flows back out of us. It all starts with His self-giving.

Show Your Appreciation – October may be over, but any day is a good time to let all who serve our congregation that you appreciate what they do.
Harvest Party – 35 members and guests enjoyed two hours of fun, food, and fellowship on October 24th. Costume winners: Astrid Black and Gabe Pyle. Coloring Contest: Kira Bailey. Scavenger Hunt: Kraig Nelson, Graison Bittick, Kira Bailey, and Willow (Avery’s friend). Thanks to Charlene Snyder and all her helpers. Joellen Roberts, thanks for the cupcakes.
Do You Need – Egg cartons, parchment paper, disposable containers, Birthday cards, Christmas cards? We have lots!
Missing Bread? There have been two loaves in the fridge for a long time. Nobody is eating it. If yours, take home before it gets moldy.
Thankfeast – November 15th - hosted by the Council. Menu: turkey, dressing, ham, spuds, drinks and rolls provided. The rest is whatever you bring – salad, veggies, or dessert. Door prizes!
Rolling Party – Ripping is done. All that’s left is to roll bandages for Global Health. I’d love to have two people help me on Saturday, Nov. 7th at 1:00 – Youth Room. s/Freda
Youth Room Freezer – needs defrosting. Looking for someone to do it.

Financial Peace – Our culture makes it so easy to feel stuck financially. Credit cards, car loans, money stress . . . that’s not what God wants for us! That’s why our church is hosting a Financial Peace University class starting on January 5, 2027, at 6 PM. Together over nine weeks, we’ll walk through God’s ways of handling money so we can experience freedom with our finances! Sign up by emailing: thomascaleb19@gmail.com.
Election of Officers for St. John Lutheran Church will be upcoming in December at our Voters’ Meeting.
The following Offices are up for election: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Financial Secretary. These are 1-year terms.
Treasurer, Stewardship, and Trustee are 2-year terms.
Butch Foote has stated that after many years of faithful service as Trustee, he is stepping down. Julie Foote has also stated that she wants to step down but would need a person to step up as a Treasurer. This has evolved into a challenging job, so she needs someone to train up into that position.
Please prayerfully consider any office that is mentioned. All of us have been faithful servants on the Council, but we need a break and other servants to step up to the job.
We may be asking you or if you are interested, please contact Pastor Thomas or Dan Howard to express interest in filling in for these positions.
